The M0024 High Capacity Battery Tester determines the capacity of backup battery
systems used to protect communications systems, railway crossings, and other
critical electronic installations.
The M0024 discharges the battery-under-test at a constant current and measures the
time for the voltage to drop to a preset level. This approach provides a true
assessment of the actual capacity of the battery, regardless of chemistry.
A key benefit of the M0024 is its ability to be used unattended in the field.
The tester automatically reconnects the battery-under-test to the charger or rectifier
upon completion of a test. It also provides connections for a temporary battery that can
be used to provide back-up protection while a test is in progress.
The M0024 comes in 12 volt, 24 volt and 48 volt models, with discharge currents up to
20 A and power dissipation up to 500 W. Non-standard voltages and currents can be
